What is the difference between a palette and a color scheme?
A palette is a set of colors. A color scheme maps those colors to semantic UI roles — background, foreground, primary, secondary, accent, surface, border, and input — so your interface stays consistent.
What tokens does Huebert generate?
Huebert generates background and foreground base colors, primary and secondary action colors with matching foregrounds, an accent color, surface and border tokens for cards and dividers, and input colors for form fields.
Can I start from my own color?
Yes. Open the generator with your seed color, or generate fresh seeds and refine them in the Pro editor until the scheme matches your product.
Can I shuffle roles without changing the seed colors?
Yes. Shuffle remaps which seed color becomes background, primary, or accent while keeping the same seed swatches — useful for exploring different semantic placements quickly.
How does Huebert handle contrast?
Huebert uses APCA-based contrast checks when pairing text and surfaces so readable combinations are preferred by default across buttons, body copy, and UI components.
Can I save or export a color scheme?
Yes, with Huebert Pro. Save schemes to your library, export CSS, copy tokens, open the scheme in other Huebert generators, or download preview images from the full generator.
Does Huebert have an API?
